I got a confession to make, I love me some rugby.....and its not about the well built men running around with an egg shaped ball (okay who am I kidding) its a plus though *wink. When I want to unwind, its the surest way of letting go. So this Saturday, I was at the RFUEA grounds rooting for my team, which eventually lost *sad sigh* but too much fun to dampen my spirits. I was looking for something uber comfortable, stylish and still girly at the same time. So, i opted for this stripped maxi, fitting and with a pencil hem. I always find that black and white stripes always go well with bold hues, hence the edgy red flatties and the neon green skinny belt. For a summer chic look, I added the straw fedora and the vintage chanel hobo cross body bag and finish it off with a bold lip. My accessories were few; i love this hello kitty pendant....its sooo cute, a cross ring and tiny neon pink earrings. CLOSET;

Halloooo Halloooo.....whos more excited about the summer than me! yea, we been waiting for the cold to come to an end and now its time to unleash the dresses and all those cute little shorts we have been storing for the right time. Well, this Saturday i had the honor of attending one of my childhood friend's wedding and was really humbled by the experience. I went for a very simple and demure look and for once I let out my hair down. My hair is very light and scattered so I tend to avoid having it down. I went for this floral maxi with a pair or gold distressed heels with a cobalt blue suede front. My accessories were very minimal....a pair of a pearl necklace that i turned into a bracelet, simple gold drop down bronze earrings, an owl bronze ring, an emerald green neckpiece and finished it off with a pink rouged lipstick. Floral Maxi- Gees closet Gold heels- Ericos Collection Bronze earrings- Jaynes Collection Neck piece, ring, pearls- Perida centre Black and white is one of the biggest 2013 tend and I find myself subconsciously buying lots of it in my closet, so I fully intend to indulge in this trend fully. I came across this stripped maxi in my thrifting endeavours sometime in december and I knew exactly how I wanted to wear it. I believe every girl should have atleast one maxi in their wardrobe especially as a summer staple.Originally the dress was flared so i decided to alter it a little bit at the bottom half and make it more pencil shaped.I went for the horizontal stripes as they tend to elongate my curves as am quite petite. I went for the horizontal stripes as they enhance my curves as am quite petite. A fitting maxi is better than a tight hugging maxi as it may look tacky if care is not taken. I went for a more demure and edgy feeling to dress it, the denim cropped jacket was to give it a more relaxed look. The black ankle brogues are just my favourite go to flatties. Well, most of my friends tend to find them quite ugly but i love the way they can change your look in a snap and i find them to be very stylish, vintagey and unique. I went for pops of color in styling my hair to bring some ooommmph to the outfit. I did a combo of two scarves, orange with black polka and an electric magenta one. The accessories were minimal, a red and bronze pedant neckpiece and butter yellow loops. The bag is a vintage from my mums 80's closet and am currently in love with these avatars CLOSET:

I decided to do a spring combination of colors.....the cobalt blue skirt with a mint green blouse. I tied the blouse to elongate the midriff and steer away from the outfit looking too officy What i love most about maxi skirts is that they are versatile and can be dressed up for a night out or down for a low key look. I went for the casual look in this post I added a pop of neon pink with the belt and head scarf for some ooomph I carried a printed oversized purse with an array of lovely colors to navigate from the spring look i had on. My accessories were very minimal, just a burgundy red bracelet and a bronze ring. Not forgetting the platforms.....i got this babies just the other day and and am in love with the turqoise green suede blended with the florals heel Finished it off with off-white earrings and a bold scarlet red lip
